Director, Information Technology (AI)

Location: Remote

Salary: $124,200.00–$175,800.00, commensurate with experience and location.

What you will do

• Own and deliver multiple technical projects aligned with Data Enablement and corporate growth objectives.
• Architect scalable, reliable, high-performance solutions using modern technologies, APIs, microservices, cloud-native patterns, and generative AI.
• Contribute hands-on to software development, architecture design, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing development team while promoting innovation, ownership, accountability, and modern engineering practices.
• Resolve technical and business blockers, optimize development workflows, and implement agile and DevOps practices.
• Communicate strategy, progress, risks, and opportunities with business units, external partners, leadership, and the VP of Data Enablement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience leading technical teams and delivering impactful software solutions, including hands-on software development and technical leadership.
• Experience implementing generative AI technologies in development workflows and proficiency with tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar.
• Strong background in cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, and DevOps practices.
• Expertise in software architecture, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions.
• At least 8 years of direct experience with all of .NET Framework development, C#, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• At least 4 years of direct experience with most of .NET Core, .NET Standard, ASP.NET Core MVC, and Web API.
• At least 2 years of direct experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Elasticsearch, Firehose, Kinesis, Lambda, or CloudWatch, or Azure services such as APIM, Search, Event Hubs, Functions, or Monitor.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, project management, communication, team-building, and mentoring skills; ability to manage multiple projects and translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI in software development and operations.
• Deep understanding of modern front-end and back-end technologies, including serverless computing.
• Experience managing hybrid or fully remote teams.
• Cloud or project management certifications such as AWS, Azure, or PMP.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
