DBA - AS/400 (IBM i)

What you will do

• Administer, monitor, tune, back up, and recover DB2 databases in IBM i/AS400 environments.
• Design database architecture, data models, DDL changes, and impact analyses.
• Manage database structures, metadata, authorizations, data dictionaries, documentation, and data management tools.
• Perform data updates, masking, migrations, and population of lower environments with anonymized data.
• Monitor database health, identify incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement database and tool changes.
• Manage software version control with PTC/MKS and collaborate with application and development teams on performance and new requirements.

Requirements

• Experience as a Database Administrator, preferably in IBM i/AS400 environments.
• Experience with DB2/IBM i (AS400/OS400), COBOL, CLP, and RPG.
• Experience with Excel, VBA and Macros, IBM i Access Client Solutions, SAP PowerDesigner, Alteryx, Qlik Sense, and PTC/MKS.
• Experience with database performance, data management, and change control.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and application teams.
