Product Manager Intern (2027) - Austin, TX

Location: In-office in Austin, TX, 3–5 days per week; full-time, 40 hours per week, during standard business hours, typically 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. Summer term: May–September 2027.

What you will do

• Own a product project focused on improving products, user experience, and key features.
• Conduct user research and competitive analysis to identify user needs, pain points, market trends, and product opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and product leaders to define requirements and ship features that solve technical problems at scale.
• Define success metrics and assess technical quality, business value, and real-world user impact.
• Analyze complex challenges and balance user needs, technical feasibility, and market constraints.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong passion for technology and empathy for user needs.
• Technical literacy, including the ability to understand architectural concepts and developer workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-starter mindset with initiative and the ability to work in ambiguity.
• Ability to commit to a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, 12-week internship and avoid conflicting classes during the internship term.
• Applicants must be available for in-person work in Austin, TX; remote and part-time applicants are not considered.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with networking, security, or Zero Trust concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, or DNS.
• Experience with developer tools, APIs, hirify.global products, or personal projects.
• Experience writing product specifications, building wireframes, or conducting user research.
• Basic coding ability or familiarity with command-line tools and developer workflows.
