Buyer Direct (Procurement)

Location: Henrico, Virginia, USA; onsite role

Salary: $73,700–$101,300 USD annual

What you will do

• Coordinate procurement of direct materials, components, equipment, raw materials, and purchased parts required for production.
• Review requisitions and MRP output; place, reschedule, modify, and cancel orders based on production requirements.
• Maintain supplier relationships and manage expectations for price, delivery, and quality, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Track confirmations and shipments, coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouses, and organize transportation when needed.
• Monitor stock levels, critical-material inventories, shortage lists, obsolete reports, and material movement through the production cycle.
• Maintain procurement records, reports, metrics, documents, and purchasing data privacy; handle claims, debit and credit issues, and inventory discrepancies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using ERP software such as Kinaxis or Atlas.
• Prior experience with electrical commodities.
