Senior Procurement Operations Individual Contributor (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid

Salary: $234K–$260K base pay annually, plus equity and eligible performance-related bonuses.

What you will do

• Manage complex infrastructure procurement engagements from intake and agreement execution through purchasing, obligations, amendments, renewals, final payment, and closeout.
• Assess commercial and operational readiness, identify gaps in scope, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and payment terms, and drive resolution with business, sourcing, Legal, and Finance partners.
• Coordinate reviews, approvals, payment readiness, acceptance evidence, invoice exceptions, reconciliation, and obligation records with Treasury, Accounting, and Accounts Payable.
• Establish procurement standards, templates, playbooks, and upstream review cycles that improve supplier engagement quality, accelerate execution, and reduce risk.
• Design, implement, and manage workflow automation and AI agents, including testing, adoption, monitoring, exception handling, and human review controls.

Requirements

• Independent experience managing complex procurement engagements through post-signature execution and closeout.
• Experience in at least one infrastructure category, such as land, leases, power, colocation, or fiber.
• Ability to evaluate supplier engagement structure, identify ambiguity or exposure, recommend improvements, and recognize when Legal or Accounting judgment is required.
• Understanding of contractual obligations, payment structures, and procurement controls, with the ability to translate them into execution plans.
• Ability to prioritize time-sensitive engagements, navigate ambiguity, resolve cross-functional dependencies, and communicate risks and tradeoffs to senior stakeholders without formal authority.
• Experience building repeatable processes in ambiguous environments and using procurement, contract management, ERP systems, and operational data to improve execution.
• Experience delivering workflow automation or AI-agent solutions with measurable results and managing their reliability, exceptions, and controls.

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple infrastructure categories, CSP commercial models, multi-entity purchasing, milestone payments, or escrow arrangements.
• Experience with Zip, Oracle, Ironclad, or comparable platforms, as well as workflow configuration, low-code tools, APIs, or scripting.
