Procurement Lead (AI)

Location: Fully in-person between the Palo Alto headquarters and San Francisco office, United States.

Salary: $250,000–$350,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and lead the procurement function from the ground up as the company scales.
• Lead negotiations for cloud compute and infrastructure commitments, including reserved versus on-demand capacity and commitment sizing.
• Own vendor procurement across software, services, and infrastructure from intake through signature.
• Manage content and data partnership payouts that support product performance.
• Partner with finance, accounting, legal, and engineering to maintain a clean request-to-contract-to-payment flow.
• Help hire and grow the procurement team.

Requirements

• Experience as the first procurement lead at a high-growth technology company, building the procurement function from nothing.
• Experience personally negotiating large, complex deals across cloud, AI, data, and software.
• Strong understanding of compute economics, including reserved versus on-demand capacity, commitment sizing, and flexibility levers.
• Experience owning the full procurement flow from request to contract to payment.
• Ability to use AI tools to work faster with a lean team.
• Ability to make forecasting and purchasing easier for internal teams.
