Translator-Reviser, Financial Translation, Global Wealth Management (English-to-French)

Location: Work from home in Montreal, Quebec, Canada; non-standard hours as needed and limited domestic travel.

Global Wealth Management Linguistic Services supports financial, investment and corporate communications for Scotia Global Asset Management.

What you will do

• Translate, adapt and transcreate high-visibility financial, investment, marketing, digital, video and internal content for French-speaking audiences.
• Revise translations and edit French-original content for accuracy, readability, consistency, intended meaning and brand voice.
• Proofread and approve final materials for print, web, digital and internal platforms.
• Maintain translation memories, terminology bases, AI-enabled translation tools and style guides; conduct terminology and subject-matter research.
• Coach colleagues, collaborate with internal and external suppliers, and liaise with business stakeholders to clarify source content and objectives.
• Manage multiple priorities and contribute to process improvements, service commitments, operational risk controls and regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a corporate environment, preferably in financial services, wealth management or asset management, including at least 2 years of revision experience in a corporate environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Translation.
• Exceptional French writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone, style and messaging for diverse audiences.
• Expertise in financial and investment translation and strong experience adapting marketing and promotional content.
• Excellent knowledge of Canadian English and Canadian/Québec French, including cultural and stylistic nuances.
• Experience with CAT tools, AI-assisted translation technologies, terminology-management systems and project-management platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines; flexibility and adaptability.
• Sufficient English knowledge is required for regular collaboration with English-speaking colleagues, clients and groups based in Toronto and elsewhere.

Nice to have

• OTTIAQ, ATIO or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience translating videos, digital content and promotional material.
• Financial accreditation such as the Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
