Senior Field Application Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Waltham Office, United States; travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

Salary: $101,545.95–$126,932.44 annually; base pay depends on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Manage technical aspects of customer accounts and lead projects from integration through operational success.
• Lead system integrations, validations, field tests, commissioning, and site-level solution architecture for robotic hardware and software.
• Create SOWs, Customer Solution Documents, Interface Control Documents, Integration Scoping Documents, network architecture, and equipment configuration documentation.
• Provide advanced field support, troubleshoot complex operational issues, analyze encrypted logs, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate permanent fixes or workarounds.
• Develop API/SDK-based tools, support customer and partner development teams, and deliver advanced technical training.
• Gather customer feedback, support product improvements and go-to-market activities, and collaborate with product, engineering, and sales teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of related experience, an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Senior-level experience in Field Applications Engineering, Solution Architecture, or System Design, including leadership of complex integrations.
• Extensive direct customer collaboration delivering advanced technical solutions and managing long-term relationships.
• Experience planning, managing, and executing multi-site or complex integrations involving hirify.global hardware and software systems.
• Ability to lead discussions and explain highly technical concepts to executive, technical, and non-technical audiences.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD or comparable software experience.
• Advanced knowledge of networking protocols, devices, and security, including routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu, and scripting for system management and automation.
• Python, C++, TypeScript, Kotlin, or other modern programming languages, especially for robotics or automation software development.
