TL;DR
Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer (Robotics): Owning electrical integration, validation, and field health for autonomous warehouse robots with an accent on board-level diagnostics, embedded firmware debugging, and power electronics. Focus on identifying root causes across hardware, firmware, mechanical, and environmental systems, building automated test tools, and driving corrective actions that reduce fleet failures.

Location: South San Francisco, United States; willingness to travel to warehouse sites for on-site diagnosis up to approximately 20%.

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 per year, plus equity.

Company

hirify.global is an AI robotics company building autonomous warehouse and supply-chain robots, including generalist robots capable of performing thousands of tasks.

What you will do

  • Own the electrical health of the warehouse robot fleet from next-generation hardware bring-up through field deployment.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for power loss, brownouts, resets, communication dropouts, motor-controller faults, and intermittent emergency stops.
  • Diagnose board, harness, connector, firmware, mechanical, and environmental faults using telemetry, error codes, logs, and fleet trends.
  • Debug STM32-class embedded firmware using fault registers, crash dumps, JTAG/SWD, and live or failed boards.
  • Lead board bring-up, power-sequencing, harness verification, system integration, and DVT/PVT, HALT/HASS, thermal, vibration, EMC, duty-cycle, and reliability testing.
  • Convert root causes into board, component, firmware, test-coverage, and field-service improvements; build fixtures, scripts, and diagnostic tools for field and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years in systems integration, hardware validation, or test engineering for robotics, electromechanical, automotive, or similar complex hardware products.
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing board-level failures in power-distribution, motor-control, and digital-logic or controller boards in laboratory and field environments.
  • Strong knowledge of DC-DC conversion, battery systems, protection circuits, MOSFET switching, gate drivers, and BLDC/PMSM motor drives.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, current and differential probes, DMMs, electronic loads, bench supplies, logic analyzers, and CAN bus analyzers.
  • Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts, datasheets, and wiring-harness drawings, including component-level rework and probing.
  • Track record of leading root-cause investigations to closure with documented corrective actions that measurably reduced field failures.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar tools for test automation and log and telemetry analysis.
  • Strong written communication for producing actionable RCAs for hardware, firmware, and operations teams.
  • Willingness to travel to warehouse sites for on-site diagnosis up to approximately 20%.

Culture & Benefits

  • High-intensity, fast-moving environment focused on ambitious robotics and autonomous supply-chain products.
  • Culture emphasizes resourcefulness, high agency, humility, dependability, and continuous learning.
  • Unlimited flexible time off.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; fully paid parking and commuter benefits.
  • 401(k), equity participation, and referral bonus.
