Senior Payroll Analyst (Fintech)

What you will do

• Prepare, reconcile, process, and document exempt and non-exempt payroll for 25,000 employees, including off-cycle payments, adjustments, bonuses, and terminations.
• Balance bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll, investigate exceptions, and take corrective action.
• Prepare quarterly payroll tax reporting and resolve payroll and tax reporting issues.
• Audit payroll procedures and records and ensure accurate calculation of deductions and payments.
• Design and implement streamlined payroll procedures, test system changes, and lead payroll department projects.
• Interpret pay policies and regulations and act as a liaison for employees and payroll associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and training; alternatively, at least 3 years of in-house payroll experience.
• Payroll experience is required.
• Broad knowledge of payroll principles, practices, processes, and procedures.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting payroll.
• Experience using and administering in-house payroll systems such as Workday, Oracle, or PeopleSoft.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, team-building, and time management skills.
