Manager, HR Business Partner

Location: Hybrid work in West Hills, California, with office attendance three days per week and travel to the Valencia R&D facility one day per month.

Salary: $100,000–$166,000 national target base pay range; $110,000–$184,000 for California and New York metro areas.

What you will do

• Partner with directors and managers to diagnose organizational and people challenges and develop practical HR solutions.
• Lead talent processes including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, development planning, merit, and compensation.
• Advise and coach managers on employee relations, performance, conflicts, accommodations, and disciplinary matters; conduct objective investigations.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent and Organization Development, Employee Relations, Legal, and People Operations.
• Support organizational change, leadership development, training, and adoption of new structures and ways of working.
• Execute onboarding, job description reviews, employee documentation, offboarding, and other core HR operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• 7–9 years of Human Resources experience; experience in both small and larger organizations is preferred.
• Strong talent expertise and experience across multiple HR areas, such as talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, leadership development, and training.
• Demonstrated success delivering HR solutions that support business strategies and priorities.
• Ability to prioritize, solve problems, and translate concepts into actionable plans.
• Experience developing solutions and influencing others using facts and data analytics.
• Knowledge of federal and local employment laws covering wage and hour, discrimination, reasonable accommodations, and related matters.
• Consultative approach with the ability to build credible relationships and influence business partners.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present viewpoints in varied business situations.
