Voice AI Solutions Engineer

Location: Remote; work-from-home setup.

Salary: 70,000 gross; pay begins on day 1 of training.

What you will do

• Design, build, configure, and maintain inbound and outbound Voice AI agents for lead qualification, appointment setting, follow-ups, support, routing, transfers, and reactivation campaigns.
• Scope builds with sales and clients, run live demos, map call flows, and estimate per-minute costs.
• Optimize prompts, conversation flows, function calls, objection handling, fallback responses, escalation paths, voices, latency, and interruption settings.
• Configure telephony, SIP trunks, number provisioning and porting, routing, forwarding, voicemail detection, live transfers, caller reputation, and deliverability.
• Own A2P 10DLC registration and compliance, including Brands, Campaigns, opt-in/opt-out flows, carrier vetting, and rejected campaign resolution.
• Integrate agents with CRMs, calendars, and external systems; build reporting, review transcripts and recordings, run prompt and voice A/B tests, troubleshoot issues, and document solutions.

Requirements

• Portfolio required: provide links to live demo agents or call recordings, plus short write-ups or Loom walkthroughs of telephony setups, A2P approvals, and CRM integrations.
• 2+ years of experience building Voice AI agents, conversational AI, or automated phone systems.
• Hands-on experience with Vapi, Retell AI, Bland, Synthflow, or similar Voice AI platforms.
• Proven A2P 10DLC registration experience, including Brand and Campaign approvals and rejection resolution.
• Strong knowledge of Twilio, Telnyx, or similar carriers; SIP/VoIP, call routing, number provisioning, and porting.
• Working knowledge of TCPA, consent, call-recording laws, DNC compliance, calling-hour restrictions, and state-specific AI disclosure requirements.
• Strong prompt engineering and conversational flow design skills, including function calling, qualification logic, objection handling, and human escalation.
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, OAuth/API authentication, Zapier, Make or n8n, and GoHighLevel or another CRM.
• Ability to scope requirements, demonstrate agents, explain technical trade-offs, analyze transcripts and metrics, troubleshoot across platforms and integrations, document work, manage multiple client builds, and work independently.

Nice to have

• Understanding of STIR/SHAKEN, CNAM, spam-likely remediation, and toll-free verification.
• Basic JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, or Python knowledge for custom tools, webhooks, and middleware.
