Odoo Software Engineer

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Odoo 20 back-end and front-end customisations for finance and project-management systems, including a custom expense application.
• Build and maintain integrations with Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, banking systems, REST APIs, and Odoo external APIs.
• Migrate historical data through scripted, repeatable loads, validation, dry runs, and cutover activities.
• Build and maintain testing pipelines, automated tests, mock data, and test-data management.
• Collaborate with the Odoo Functional Consultant and Project Manager on requirements, solution options, estimates, progress, and risks.
• Maintain technical documentation and support the system after go-live.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial Python development, including 2+ years building custom Odoo modules on recent Odoo versions.
• Strong Odoo development expertise across ORM, inheritance, security, reports, scheduled actions, OWL, and JavaScript, including custom user-facing Odoo applications.
• Experience integrating Odoo with external systems using REST APIs and Odoo external APIs, with robust error handling.
• Hands-on experience with data migration, scripted and repeatable data loads, validation, and data quality assurance.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, Docker, and Odoo deployment and maintenance practices.
• Strong testing discipline covering automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and test-data management, with the ability to deliver independently.
• Professional proficiency in English and Ukrainian.
