Senior Integration Engineer (Workato)

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate productized integrations between hirify.global and strategic ISV partners.
• Develop Workato recipes, custom connectors, API-based components, data mappings, and reusable integration templates.
• Define data flows, authentication and authorization models, versioning, failure handling, ownership, support plans, and operational runbooks.
• Work with partner engineering teams on APIs, schemas, authentication, rate limits, version changes, and operational responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to identify API and platform gaps and translate recurring partner needs into product requirements.
• Use AI coding and agent tools for discovery, design, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating all production output.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience designing, building, and operating production integrations across enterprise systems.
• Hands-on experience with Workato or a comparable enterprise iPaaS, including deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, pagination, rate limits, API versioning, error handling, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, signed JWTs, and API keys.
• Production integration experience with an enterprise platform such as Salesforce, SAP, Coupa, NetSuite, Workday, or DocuSign.
• Ability to write and review custom integration logic in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, or Java.
• Expert-level day-to-day use of AI coding and agent tools, including verification of generated output and protection of confidential data and credentials.

Nice to have

• Deep Workato experience with custom connectors, environment management, deployment practices, monitoring, and platform governance.
• Experience building reusable partner or embedded integrations for multiple customers.
• Experience in contract lifecycle management, legal technology, source-to-pay, procurement, or related enterprise application ecosystems.
• Experience with event-driven, publish-subscribe, cloud-native, serverless, MCP, or other agent-to-system integration patterns.
