Senior Legal Counsel (Data Protection & International Commercial Law)

What you will do

• Advise senior management and business partners on complex legal issues, risk management, commercial strategy, and regulatory compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate high-value national and international supply, distribution, service, license, and vendor agreements.
• Assess and mitigate legal and business risks and develop company-wide risk management strategies.
• Manage disputes, coordinate external counsel, and represent hirify.global in high-profile proceedings.
• Lead GDPR, data protection, and cross-border data transfer projects, as well as M&A, restructuring, due diligence, and other major legal projects.
• Train management and legal teams, mentor junior legal staff, and coordinate legal strategy across international subsidiaries.

Requirements

• Completed university degree in law through the state examination and a license as a qualified lawyer.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in an international company or law firm, including advising executive leadership and managing multinational legal teams.
• Knowledge of German and international commercial law, contract law, data protection law, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Ability to manage complex projects and provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal solutions.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English are mandatory.
