Global Category Manager, Mechanical - Business Line Analytical

Salary: $119,000–$221,000 annually for US candidates, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and implement the global mechanical category strategy for the Analytical Business Line, covering supplier footprint, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.
• Lead sourcing strategies through the CIPS process and ensure suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future requirements.
• Negotiate supplier agreements, renew price lists, and manage commercial terms and conditions.
• Manage procurement planning, budgets, savings forecasts, and cost-out programs.
• Identify, assess, and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Oversee supplier contracts, align stakeholders, and deliver category sourcing performance targets.

Requirements

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
• Experience ideally involving mechanical components, castings, forgings, or plastics.
• Demonstrated ability to build and execute global strategies and deliver measurable results.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across factories, local teams, and global leadership.
• Solid negotiation and supplier relationship management experience.
• Data-driven approach to analysis and reporting.
• Collaborative and execution-oriented working style.
