AI & Digital Products Consultant (Strategy & Transformation Practice)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; the role works across global time zones and may require work outside usual business hours.

Bain & Company’s Strategy & Transformation Practice develops strategy and transformation approaches, intellectual property, tools, and delivery models for client and case teams.

What you will do

• Identify, prioritize, prototype, evaluate, and scale AI modules within the Full Potential Co-Pilot suite using no- and low-code platforms.
• Evolve Strategy-owned modules, including prompts, data calls, and guardrails, based on evaluations and frontline usage patterns.
• Embed AI tools and insights into strategy pitches, live client engagements, the Strategy approach, core intellectual property, and Iris/Sage.
• Track usage and outcome metrics, identify case-team innovations for scaling, and share best practices across case teams.
• Lead training and create demo videos, one-pagers, pitch decks, dashboards, and success stories to increase adoption.
• Coordinate with Bain innovation groups and research competitor offerings and technology advances to inform product roadmaps and investment decisions.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of technical product development experience in a similar industry with an undergraduate degree, or 4–5 years of experience with an MBA/Master’s, or MBB consulting experience at Senior Associate or Consultant level, or Senior Consultant experience at another management consulting firm.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and tools, including Python, R, and OpenAI APIs, with extensive experience building AI-enabled tools that create business value.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to turn insights into conclusive recommendations.
• Ability to drive work end-to-end with limited direction and make thoughtful recommendations based on continuous learning.
• Excellent verbal and written English at C1 level.
• Ability to structure and design impactful slides and written updates and communicate insights and implications to senior stakeholders at the appropriate level of detail.
• Ability to lead effective small meetings, participate in meetings with senior stakeholders, and share opinions appropriately.
• Track record of inspiring, motivating, and apprenticing junior team members.
• Flexibility to work outside usual business hours across global time zones.
