Lead Dynatrace Engineer (Dynatrace)

Location: Remote - EU; availability for US Eastern time overlap, approximately 9:00–15:00 EST.

What you will do

• Lead Dynatrace implementation and optimization across large multi-environment on-premises and cloud estates.
• Complete OneAgent rollouts, design and tune ActiveGate architecture, remediate extensions, and develop custom integrations.
• Design Dynatrace and Grafana dashboards, build alerting models, reduce noise, and integrate ITSM workflows with ServiceNow.
• Own phased delivery quality from transition and architecture review through optimization, execution, roadmap development, and operational handover.
• Lead technical sessions with infrastructure, network, storage, and cloud teams; review and support network monitoring work involving SNMP, device extensions, dashboards, and alerting.
• Act as the Dynatrace SME in scoping and technical reviews, contribute to proposals and estimates, and deliver runbooks, training, and enablement for client teams.

Requirements

• Dynatrace Certified Professional, Implementation track; Administration certification is a plus. Credential ID must be provided at application.
• 4+ years of experience in observability, APM, or infrastructure monitoring, including 2+ years of hands-on production Dynatrace implementation involving deployment and optimization, not only platform consumption.
• Demonstrable portfolio of delivered Dynatrace programs on large estates with measurable outcomes such as faster MTTR, cost optimization, or alert reduction; be prepared to present the programs during the process.
• Technical depth in OneAgent and ActiveGate architecture and tuning at scale, Davis AI, Grail, RUM, extension development, custom integrations through OTel or APIs, ITSM integration, and Grafana.
• Working knowledge of Dynatrace network monitoring, including SNMP, device collection, and network extensions, sufficient to review, validate, and contribute to specialist network work.
• Clear, confident written and spoken English and the ability to lead client technical sessions independently.
• Experience training client teams or building enablement programs.
• Availability for US Eastern time overlap, approximately 9:00–15:00 EST.

Nice to have

• Healthcare, finance, or another regulated-industry background, including PHI/HIPAA-aware monitoring and PII masking.
• Direct network monitoring experience with SNMP, NetFlow, NPM, LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, or NetScout, plus Cisco or Arista device visibility.
• Azure or AWS infrastructure experience, Terraform or Bicep, and Cribl.
• Dynatrace Certified Expert or AI/ML Professional certification.
• Experience delivering through a systems integrator partner such as WWT, DXC, or a similar organization.
