Payload Testbed Technical Lead (Aerospace)

Location: Tres Cantos, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model with up to 4 weeks per year of teleworking outside the usual geographical area.

What you will do

• Take technical responsibility for the CELESTE IOP End-to-End Payload Testbed, a laboratory platform for verifying and validating low-Earth orbit satellite navigation payloads.
• Define and maintain the testbed's functional and physical architecture.
• Analyse and consolidate technical requirements, interfaces, and use cases.
• Decompose system requirements into functions, equipment, activities, and tests.
• Ensure consistency between the constellation simulator, payload, user receiver, control unit, and instrumentation.
• Coordinate a testbed combining RF signal simulation, precise time and frequency references, measurement instrumentation, test automation, payload monitoring and control, and I/Q recording and analysis.

Requirements

• Degree in Telecommunications, Aerospace, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
• Extensive experience in systems engineering applied to complex technological systems.
• Experience defining and managing requirements, interfaces, and architectures.
• Knowledge of radio-frequency systems and chains.
• Fundamentals of signal generation, acquisition, and processing.
• High level of English.
