Production and Continuous Improvement Engineer

Location: Hybrid, based at the Porcari, Lucca site in Italy.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and document shop-floor processes using engineering best practices.
• Drive continuous improvements to production tasks, processes, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Participate in audits and provide technical support for production activities.
• Investigate and resolve production problems, including root-cause analysis.
• Recommend new processes and equipment where appropriate.
• Work with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and production team during a period of transformation and efficiency gains.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, or a Technical Diploma.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, or Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in an engineering-led production environment manufacturing electromechanical products.
• Practical experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles, Continuous Improvement methodologies, and process improvement tools.
• Knowledge and practical experience with 5S, 5 Whys, Ishikawa analysis, gap analysis, and timing methods.
• Proficiency in data analysis, process performance measurement, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with CAD software, including AutoCAD and Solid Edge.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Fluent Italian and professional English at minimum B2 level. Strong communication, organization, teamwork, independent working ability, analytical thinking, and attention to detail are required.
