Senior Backend Engineer (PHP)

Location: Hybrid, Bratislava, Slovakia

Basic wage component: from €3,700 gross per month; performance bonus up to 15% of the basic salary, paid twice per year.

What you will do

• Lead the development of advanced features for hirify.global's global websites and ensure alignment with strategic goals and quality standards.
• Facilitate Scrum activities, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and code reviews.
• Mentor team members, remove obstacles, and drive delivery against team objectives.
• Promote continuous learning, clean and maintainable code, best practices, automated testing, and robust solutions.
• Contribute PHP code and participate in collaborative feature development.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of PHP development experience.
• Ability to understand complex systems, anticipate challenges, and design scalable and sustainable solutions.
• Willingness to organize knowledge-sharing sessions, mentor colleagues, and encourage open discussion of new technologies.
• Proactive and innovative approach, with regular suggestions and implementation of improvements.
• Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, automated testing, documentation, and code reviews.
• English at Upper-intermediate (B2) level.
