Senior Software Engineer, Code Scanning

Salary: USD $124,000.00–$329,200.00 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, ship, and maintain scalable technical solutions across hirify.global services.
• Build and integrate AI agents and AI-first features for code analysis and security issue discovery, understanding, and remediation.
• Design and implement GraphQL APIs, REST endpoints, Ruby on Rails applications, and Go services.
• Lead architecture discussions, write proposals, run code experiments, build prototypes, and identify system dependencies.
• Improve reliability through instrumentation, monitoring, telemetry, SLO management, CI/CD pipelines, incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, pairing, and code reviews; participate in on-call and first-responder rotations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline with proven experience maintaining and delivering production software, including coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python; or an Associate’s degree with 5+ years, Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years, Master’s degree with 2+ years, a relevant Doctorate, or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and operating production software and scalable services.
• Ability to participate in technical leadership, architecture, code reviews, incident response, and on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Preference for candidates based on the East Coast.
• 2+ years of experience building end-to-end applications with agentic AI.
• 2+ years of experience building web applications in Ruby or Go.
• 2+ years of experience developing with relational databases.
• 2+ years of experience developing on large Ruby on Rails or React applications.
• 2+ years of distributed systems experience and operating software at scale.
