Linux Systems Administrator (RoboGym)

What you will do

• Provision, patch, harden, and operate the virtual Linux server fleet.
• Operate and monitor the training-data path from robot training cells through the HCI platform to cloud upload.
• Monitor infrastructure health and capacity, respond to alerts, and resolve anomalies before they affect training.
• Automate configuration and recurring tasks with Ansible, shell, and Python.
• Provide on-site Linux client support, provision workstations and peripherals, and manage local onboarding, offboarding, and device records.
• Collaborate with developers, robot trainers, the on-site Network & Systems Administrator, HQ IT, and HCI platform vendors; maintain runbooks and improve shared operating standards.

Requirements

• Degree in an IT-related field or completed IT apprenticeship, such as Fachinformatiker/in Systemintegration, plus at least 3 years of professional Linux system administration experience.
• Extensive hands-on Linux administration experience; Ubuntu/Debian preferred.
• Proficiency with Ansible and scripting languages, including Python and shell.
• Experience with virtualised infrastructure and HCI platforms.
• Understanding of storage and networking concepts in high-throughput environments.
• Basic Windows system administration knowledge.
• Service-minded, approachable, structured, and independent working style with confidence to take ownership and support colleagues directly on site.
• Fluent spoken and written English at B2+ level.

Nice to have

• LPIC-1 or a comparable Linux certification.

• Support is provided by the central IT team at NEURA group headquarters and platform vendors where appropriate.
