Business Analyst I (Fintech)

What you will do

• Gather and analyze client information and translate business needs into clear system requirements.
• Prepare business specifications, process flows, screen definitions, and implementation requirements.
• Support system testing, validate intended functionality, and help resolve issues before implementation.
• Maintain documentation and support application standards, including payment card industry and security requirements.
• Track project progress, identify schedule risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating business needs and developing practical requirements.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for gathering information and collaborating with clients, technical teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio; familiarity with process flows using Visio or Unified Modeling Language (UML).
• Curious, detail-oriented, and collaborative mindset, with the ability to follow procedures, learn new systems, and build productive working relationships.

Nice to have

• Experience working with end users to understand business needs, document requirements, or support system implementation.
• Knowledge of scripting, data structures, payment card operations, or related financial technology environments.
• Progress toward a business analysis qualification such as the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) credential.
