Network & Systems Administrator – RoboGym (human)

Location: On-site in Metzingen / Riederich, Germany

hirify.global operates the NEURA Gym, where humanoid robot fleets practise real tasks and generate multimodal training data for Physical AI.

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, and continuously improve the Gym network, including Aruba switching and Wi-Fi, a 100G backbone, and firewalls.
• Maintain network segmentation between training cells and internal networks, strengthen Zero Trust access controls, and manage QoS and traffic engineering for training-data uploads.
• Monitor network and on-site systems, respond to incidents, troubleshoot root causes, and plan capacity before bottlenecks affect training.
• Support on-site Windows and Linux administration, provision workstations and peripherals, and manage local onboarding, offboarding, and device records.
• Automate recurring network and systems tasks with Ansible, Python, or PowerShell.
• Provide first-line IT support on site, coordinate escalations with the Metzingen IT team, work with vendors, and maintain topology diagrams, IP plans, VLAN tables, and runbooks.

Requirements

• Degree in an IT-related field or completed IT apprenticeship, such as Fachinformatiker/in Systemintegration, with at least 3 years of professional experience in network operations.
• Strong hands-on skills in switching, routing, enterprise Wi-Fi, VLAN segmentation, and firewall configuration.
• Experience with high-throughput LAN environments, QoS, network monitoring, and structured troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Zero Trust principles.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Ansible, Python, or PowerShell.
• Structured, independent, and proactive working style with confidence taking ownership of the network.
• Service-minded, calm, and analytical approach under operational pressure.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, at B2+ level.

Nice to have

• Experience with Aruba/HPE networking equipment.
• Administration experience with Windows and Linux, plus working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
• Relevant certification such as ACCP, CCNA, CCNP, or Network+.
