Sr. Staff Software Development Engineer (IAM)

Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week in San Jose, California, USA.

Base pay: $157,500–$225,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Design and develop enterprise-grade Identity Management Products.
• Design and implement core product functionality and key technical initiatives.
• Develop identity workflows and application integrations with the IAM team, Product Management, and business teams.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver projects from inception to production.
• Mentor junior engineers on software development best practices.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within the functional domain.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in application architecture and development.
• Expert-level technical knowledge of Enterprise Java, OOP, OOA, systems architecture, RESTful APIs, Hibernate, and Spring.
• Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management protocols, specifically SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience developing enterprise-grade Security or Networking products.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and dynamic environments, take ownership, solve complex problems, collaborate with high trust, and continuously seek feedback and growth.

Nice to have

• Ability to leverage AI technologies and workflows to drive measurable operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container infrastructure.
• Experience with Java reactive programming.
