Manager, Ocean Freight

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; onsite role with regional travel required.

Base salary: $88,000–$110,000 USD annually, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage the district’s multi-million-dollar Ocean P&L by scaling volume, increasing yield, and driving profitability.
• Provide market intelligence, support customer-facing commercial work, and design tailored products and go-to-market strategies.
• Own district tenders and RFQs for regional and global customers.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Pricing, Planning, and District Management to identify growth opportunities and optimize results.
• Improve go-to-market, operational, and financial processes; manage quoting, invoicing, disputes, forecasting, and P&L reviews using data.
• Develop the team and participate in customer calls and book-of-business growth rhythms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Ocean Freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier, or 5+ years of supply chain experience plus a BA/BS degree.
• Strategic vision combined with ground-floor execution.
• Bias toward action, process, structure, and data.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong focus on client happiness and customer success.
• Ability to travel regionally.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and fix broken processes.
• Desire to lead, train, and develop up-and-coming talent.
