Python & .NET Developer (Intermediate/Senior)

Location: Brisbane, Australia; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Salary: Mid-Level Engineer: $120,000–$125,000 plus super; Senior Engineer: up to $150,000 plus super per annum.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain applications, integrations, automation platforms, portals, APIs, and backend services.
• Automate service delivery and operational workflows, including notifications and self-service capabilities.
• Integrate internal systems with external carriers, cloud services, third-party platforms, and operational systems.
• Extend and modernise CRM platforms and improve application performance, maintainability, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Develop AI-driven and agent-based internal tools and contribute to architectural and technology decisions.
• Collaborate with engineers, the Development Lead, UX/UI designers, and operational stakeholders; troubleshoot production issues and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements

• For the Mid-Level Engineer position: commercial experience developing software with Python and/or C#/.NET.
• For the Senior Engineer position: extensive commercial experience developing enterprise applications using Python and/or C#/.NET.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, systems integration, relational databases, and SQL.
• Comfort working in Linux environments.
• For the Senior Engineer position: a proven history delivering integration-heavy software solutions, strong architecture and solution design capability, and deep understanding of API design, scalability, and system reliability.
• For the Senior Engineer position: experience mentoring developers, influencing technical decisions, and owning projects from concept through production.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and passion for automation and improving business processes.
• Core technologies include C#/.NET, Python, REST APIs, SQL/relational databases, and Linux.

Nice to have

• Experience modernising legacy .NET applications.
• Experience in telco, ISP, networking, infrastructure, NBN, carrier, or wholesale network environments.
• Salesforce integrations, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• AI development, LLM APIs, agents, MCP, network management platforms, or operational tooling.
• Exposure to FastAPI, Django, Vue, Ansible, and AI coding tools or LLM integrations.
