TEG Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Kulim, Malaysia. On-site manufacturing role in a 24/7 factory with rotating day and night shifts and weekly shift rotations.

What you will do

• Own and optimize high-volume manufacturing equipment and processes to meet safety, quality, productivity, yield, and cost targets.
• Conduct tests and measurements to control critical dimensions, reduce defectivity, and identify discrepant materials or activities.
• Implement equipment and process modifications, maintenance, repairs, continuous improvements, and systems to prevent process excursions.
• Manage equipment installation, conversion, and qualification during factory ramps.
• Build manufacturing capacity and facilitate technology transfers through training, audits, and process consistency across global sites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to optimize processes for high-volume production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or another relevant engineering field with 1–3 years of hands-on experience through internships, academic projects, coursework, or training; alternatively, a relevant Master's degree with no prior professional experience.
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data-driven problem-solving methods.
• Technical expertise in mechanical design, electrical circuitry, and software tools such as JMP or SQL Pathfinder.
• Experience with equipment management, maintenance, and improvement processes.
• Ability to work effectively in cleanroom environments while using proper PPE.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Deep knowledge of machine and equipment systemic troubleshooting with data analysis.
• Knowledge of design of experiments (DOE) and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, adaptability, independent working, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL Pathfinder, or relevant scripting tools for analytics and optimization.
