Principal Salesforce Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Johns Creek, Georgia, United States; requires 3 days onsite.

Salary: $109,000–$185,000 USD annually for U.S. locations excluding Puerto Rico and specific California locations.

What you will do

• Set technical direction and lead the architecture, design, development, and refactoring of complex Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, automation tools, and integrations.
• Design and oversee integrations between Salesforce, SAP, legacy systems, middleware, and data integration tools using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Establish coding standards, development frameworks, technical governance, code reviews, pull-request practices, and technical-debt reduction.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications in partnership with business analysts, architects, project managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Diagnose complex performance, integration, configuration, and custom-code issues; maintain documentation for designs, integrations, configurations, and development processes.
• Mentor developers, support Agile delivery, and collaborate with DevOps teams on Copado deployment practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and at least 5 years of experience.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and core platform capabilities.
• 3+ years in a technical lead, senior developer, or architect role within Salesforce ecosystems.
• Experience designing scalable and secure Salesforce architectures and managing multi-org or enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong knowledge of Apex, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Git, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
• Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Digital Engagement, and optionally Commerce Cloud or Marketing Cloud.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, middleware, Copado deployment pipelines, automated deployments, and complex environment management.
• Experience with SSO and identity management protocols including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience with AI technologies such as Salesforce Einstein, Agentforce, or LLM integrations.
• Strong requirements analysis, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder engagement, leadership, mentoring, and Agile development skills.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I/II and Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certifications.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Node.
