Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Hybrid in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

What you will do

• Develop and improve scalable, maintainable, and reliable Python tools supporting a mobile phone test farm.
• Build web applications, web services, and REST APIs using industry best practices.
• Design high-level architecture and implement functional blocks that integrate into multiple software tools.
• Support multiple projects by prioritizing work in line with project schedules.
• Apply unit testing, code review, documentation, validation, and quality guidelines.
• Train, educate, and mentor junior team members as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience using Python, including 3+ years developing Python web applications or web services.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science; a master’s degree in computer science is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with Git, Unix-like operating systems, and system programming.
• Knowledge and experience with concurrency, threading, and multiprocessing.
• Knowledge and experience with REST APIs.
• Some knowledge and experience with CI/CD frameworks such as Bamboo or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of algorithm analysis and its effective application in software implementation.
• Basic knowledge and experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar developer productivity platforms.
• Familiarity with large language models and prompt engineering for automation, workflow optimization, and software development tasks.
• Familiarity with MCP, AI agents, agentic workflows, or multi-agent architectures.
• Master’s degree in computer science.
