Senior Software Engineer (Consumer Lending Team)

Location: Remote, Mexico. The work model is currently fully remote, with a future transition to a hybrid setup.

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable backend microservices for the Consumer Lending team.
• Design and manage secure, high-performance infrastructure handling millions of daily requests.
• Use Google Cloud services and industry-standard infrastructure tools to build and maintain distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and other business units on financial solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
• Use user feedback and system analytics to improve platform capabilities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Fluent or advanced English.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, particularly in the Fintech domain.
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience designing and implementing web services, including REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B Testing, Feature Flags, and Gradual Rollouts.
• Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and KYC/AML processes.
• Excellent collaboration and prioritization skills in a team-oriented environment.
• Passion for developing products that make an impact on millions of users and commitment to continuous learning.

Nice to have

• Experience building and maintaining payment systems, financial disbursement solutions, or compliance-driven platforms.
• Curiosity and/or experience in Fintech.
