Senior Python Developer with SQL, Investment Platform

Location: Remote in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, or other LATAM countries; locations include Monterrey, Montevideo, and Rosario.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade Python applications and APIs.
• Refactor and modernize legacy Python and Excel tools built by business teams.
• Add testing, security, structure, and observability to existing applications.
• Build data-intensive analytics features using SQL and cloud data platforms.
• Collaborate directly with portfolio managers, traders, front-office users, engineering specialists, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate results.
• Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and AI-assisted development practices where useful.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on production Python development, with Python as the main language in the current role.
• Experience with ETF or investment front-office environments in asset management, investment banking, or capital markets.
• Experience working directly with portfolio managers or traders.
• Experience modernizing legacy or business-built applications.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud platforms, including AWS.
• Experience with API design and integration, automated testing, CI/CD, and Git.
• Ability to gather requirements directly from business users and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with fixed-income ETFs, portfolio management, investment analytics, Aladdin, BNY, or comparable investment platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Experience with AI-enabled development, agentic workflows, or AI-assisted SDLC.
