Software Engineer (Python/C# .NET)

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; hybrid with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home.

Salary: AUD 120,000–150,000 per annum plus super, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and/or C#/.NET.
• Build and integrate REST APIs connecting internal platforms, customer systems, and third-party services.
• Develop automation solutions to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain existing applications and deliver new features and system improvements.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable software.

Requirements

• Commercial software development experience using Python and/or C#/.NET.
• Strong backend development experience, including REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience working with SQL databases and maintaining production applications.
• Understanding of software development best practices, testing, and version control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.
• Applications are open to mid-level and senior software engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Django, FastAPI, or ASP.NET.
• Knowledge of Linux, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud technologies.
• Frontend experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Vue.js.
• Exposure to automation, AI-assisted development tools, or AI/LLM agents.
• Telecommunications, networking, or ISP industry experience.
