Home Builder Finance Closing Specialist (Commercial Banking)

Location: Hoover, Alabama; onsite at Riverchase Complex North Building, 2050 Parkway Office Circle, Hoover, AL 35244, United States

Salary: $43,500 minimum to $52,540 median USD annually; not incentive eligible

What you will do

• Coordinate the closing process for complex commercial loans, including collecting, analyzing, preparing, and packaging loan documentation.
• Draft and review loan documentation in a multi-state environment and review attorney-prepared packages for syndicated loans.
• Confirm that loans close according to approval, policy, and regulatory requirements, identifying and remediating issues before closing.
• Work with borrowers, outside counsel, relationship teams, bank associates, vendors, Capital Markets, and other lenders throughout the closing process.
• Book loans, resolve setup issues, maintain system data integrity, and ensure accurate disbursement of loan proceeds.
• Track pipeline activity, support risk mitigation planning, resolve client service issues, and meet departmental performance metrics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of related financial services industry experience.
• Knowledge of commercial credit, regulatory, and documentation policies, including BSA/AML, Beneficial Ownership, OFAC, and Flood Regulations.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong time management, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under time constraints.
• Ability to respond with a sense of urgency.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of insurance requirements and property due diligence for real estate transactions.
• Knowledge of syndicated transactions and ability to collaborate with Capital Markets and other lenders on agent and non-agent deals.
• Previous Commercial Banking and/or Commercial Equipment Leasing experience.
