Loan Production Associate (Fintech)

Location: Southington, Connecticut, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.

Base pay: $63,750–$107,500 annualized.

What you will do

• Manage a pipeline of commercial credit requests from application through closing, tracking status, next steps, missing information, and workflow stages.
• Coordinate with Lines of Business, customers, Relationship Managers, Underwriting, Loan Operations, Middle and Back Office operations, and Counsel.
• Review application and due diligence documentation, coordinate customer outreach, and ensure required materials are collected and uploaded into the Loan Origination System.
• Resolve workflow obstacles, respond to application status inquiries, obtain responses to credit questions, and maintain status communications.
• Prepare commitment letters consistent with credit approval terms and coordinate loan documentation, preclosing quality control, closing schedules, and related correspondence.
• Act as the process owner for credit requests, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality closings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
• 5+ years of experience with commercial loan operations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, deadline-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and various bank systems.
• Ability to adapt quickly, work as part of a team, and clearly convey complex concepts and issues concisely.
• Working knowledge of Commercial Banking and strong knowledge of syndicated and commercial loan products and markets.
• Ability to review and interpret legal documentation supporting syndicated and commercial loan products.
• Knowledge of banking regulations, standard practices, and industry standards for syndicated and commercial loans.
• In-depth knowledge of initiatives to streamline and automate Middle Office support functions, with the ability to review workflows, functionalize organizational-change ideas, and implement structural and procedural changes.
