Senior Process Engineer (ALD)

Salary: $147,000.00–$202,500.00 annually

What you will do

• Design, execute, analyze, and document complex process engineering experiments across multiple products.
• Develop, optimize, and integrate ALD processes for next-generation semiconductor nodes, converting device requirements into robust, manufacturable processes.
• Characterize hardware and film properties, troubleshoot engineering issues, and implement new technologies, products, and analytical instrumentation.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, specifications, and internal and external product documentation.
• Train engineers in measurement techniques, data interpretation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Engage with customers, vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional R&D teams; lead functional teams or projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7–10 years of related experience.
• Deep expertise in thin film processing and hands-on experience with thermal and/or plasma-enhanced ALD.
• Strong systems engineering skills and a technical foundation in materials science, physics, and chemistry.
• Knowledge of precursor behavior, nucleation and growth mechanisms, and growth in complex 3D structures.
• Strong knowledge of ALD hardware, including vacuum systems, plasma sources, and precursor delivery.
• Expertise in complex problem solving and the ability to work with limited supervision.
