Software Engineer I (Generative AI)

Location: Remote, nationwide within the United States; the posting is associated with Sacramento, California.

Salary: $69,520–$86,900 base salary annually, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses; eligible for the annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program.

What you will do

• Participate in the full software application and business logic development lifecycle.
• Write code and tests, conduct code reviews, and participate in Agile/Scrum sessions, estimation, and planning.
• Participate in generative AI-related research and development activities.
• Assist with QA deployment, testing, and validation.
• Assist with production deployment, validation, troubleshooting, support, monitoring, and process automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related discipline is required.
• Good working knowledge of C#, Java, or Python; ability to write well-structured, maintainable C# and SQL code.
• Knowledge of databases and operating systems, including working knowledge of MS SQL and database programming such as queries, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and UI programming with JavaScript, HTML, Ajax, CSS, and PowerShell exposure.
• Knowledge of machine learning and generative AI concepts and principles.
• Experience with GitHub or another version control system and familiarity with CI/CD concepts.
• Ability to break complex problems into smaller pieces, learn new technology quickly, follow instructions, and work effectively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• One year of practical software development experience.
• Familiarity with generative AI technology.
• Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience, including DevOps, CI/CD, and Azure monitoring.
• Familiarity with SRE concepts and application KPI tracking.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
