Freelance In-Person Event Host

Location: On-site in Winnersh, England, UK; open only to candidates already based in Winnersh.

What you will do

• Host engaging, team-building social impact events that support nonprofit causes.
• Welcome, engage, and inspire participants during in-person events.
• Present events alongside nonprofit partners or lead them independently.
• Use storytelling to help volunteers understand the impact of their participation.
• Provide clear instructions and guide volunteers through activities.
• Attend 1–4 preparation meetings before each event, depending on complexity.

Requirements

• Fluent English and current residence in Winnersh, England, UK are required.
• Availability to work on a contract-per-event basis, including preparation time.
• Strong experience in event hosting, facilitation, and emceeing.
• Comfort interacting with large and small groups or individuals while keeping events engaging and running smoothly.
• Experience with group facilitation and managing group dynamics.
• Strong conversational, storytelling, presentation, and customer-service skills.
• High energy, charisma, a positive attitude, and a sense of fun.
• Comfort with public speaking and the ability to solve problems quickly during events.
