Fund Accounting Manager

Location: Hybrid in New York, Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, or Philadelphia, United States; in-person attendance is required at least three days per week at a hirify.global office or client site.

Salary: $147,200–$196,880 base salary annually.

What you will do

• Oversee monthly and quarterly NAV production, pricing, fund accounting, and financial reporting for hedge, private equity, private debt, and real estate funds.
• Coordinate fund audits with external auditors and meet reporting deadlines.
• Account for partnership, purchase, and sale transactions, including waterfall and carried interest calculations.
• Apply US GAAP and other required local GAAP, monitor tax strategies, covenants, debt positions, and investment performance.
• Produce cash flow, total rate of return, profitability, and performance analyses for portfolio managers and management.
• Lead process and system enhancements, automation, standardization, control improvements, and staff development, including coaching and performance assessment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA certification.
• At least 5 years of experience collaborating with Fund Accountants and cross-functional experienced professionals.
• Thorough knowledge of investment fund software such as Investran, Geneva, OneSource, and DFIN Arc Reporting.
• Thorough experience with complex investment and fund structures, including master funds, blocker and standalone entities, feeder funds, liquidated funds, and newly commenced funds.
• Experience working with Fund Portfolio Managers and Controllers.
• Experience supporting client service and marketing teams in client due diligence meetings, including presenting and answering client questions.
• Ability to work additional hours and travel as needed.
