Jr. AI Native Experience Designer

What you will do

• Design AI-native products, services, and digital experiences from early concepts through high-fidelity and functional prototypes.
• Explore interaction patterns involving agents, copilots, conversational experiences, generative interfaces, and multimodal AI.
• Use AI to research, ideate, create, prototype, test, and iterate, using Figma and AI-assisted design and development tools.
• Move design concepts toward working front-end experiences and collaborate with engineers on technical possibilities and production implementation.
• Design for AI-specific challenges including uncertainty, transparency, trust, user control, and unexpected outputs.
• Bring AI concepts to life for clients and share learnings across hirify.global’s AI-native design practice.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional experience in experience design, product design, interaction design, UX/UI, or a related discipline.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating work from problem definition through concept, interaction design, and execution.
• Strong experience with Figma, prototyping, interaction design, and design systems.
• Demonstrated experience using AI as part of the design, prototyping, or creation process, including hands-on experimentation with generative AI, AI-assisted design tools, coding tools, or emerging prototyping platforms.
• Strong foundations in human-centered design, user journeys, information architecture, usability, and user research.
• Critical thinking, the ability to challenge assumptions, and the ability to structure ambiguous problems.
• Technical fluency sufficient to understand how modern digital experiences are built and collaborate closely with engineering teams.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills for explaining design decisions to clients, engineers, and designers.
• Curiosity about AI demonstrated through turning ideas and experiments into tangible outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience taking a design concept through to a working front-end prototype.
• Experience building or designing an AI agent, copilot, conversational interface, or generative experience.
• Experience with voice, image, video, or other multimodal AI experiences.
• Experience using Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, v0, Replit, Lovable, or Bolt.
• Experience with an LLM or AI API, or knowledge of context, RAG, tool calling, and agents.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or modern front-end development.
• Experience designing for AI uncertainty and non-deterministic behavior, or for trust, understanding, and user control.
• Experience contributing to design systems or translating them into working interfaces.
• Side projects, hackathon projects, or experiments exploring emerging technologies.
