Staff Product Designer (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States

Building AI-powered software and direct-booking infrastructure for hospitality operators, including distribution, guest marketing, and business growth products.

What you will do

• Lead design for the Discovery team as its sole designer and represent Design in cross-functional decisions.
• Turn noisy and uncertain data into clear, trustworthy experiences that operators can understand and act on.
• Design intuitive workflows for operators working alongside AI.
• Use customer evidence and product judgment to prioritize ideas and define what to build.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to set direction, solve complex problems, and ship high-quality experiences.
• Protect, evolve, and uphold the quality and consistency of the design system.

Requirements

• Experience operating as a design leader who can independently set product direction, challenge assumptions, and contribute to cross-functional decisions.
• Strong ownership, proactivity, autonomy, trustworthiness, and ability to identify blind spots and move work forward independently.
• Strong product judgment and design craft, balancing business needs, customer problems, and quality.
• Ability to make dashboards, metrics, and data visualizations simple and trustworthy.
• Comfort using AI, Figma, code, and tools such as Vercel to prototype, experiment, and ship quickly.
• High attention to detail and commitment to clear, intuitive product experiences.
• Ability to work effectively as the sole designer with a small, senior engineering team.
• Portfolio including shipped product work.

• Experience with SEO, marketing technology, or growth products.
• Curiosity about AI search and travel.
• Experience building tools that improve the broader team's effectiveness.
