QA Tester

Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid)

hirify.global is recruiting for a 12-month QA testing contract.

What you will do

• Review business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution designs to determine test coverage.
• Create and execute manual test cases and scenarios covering functional, integration, system, end-to-end, regression, exploratory, negative, boundary, and exception testing.
• Validate business rules, application behavior, data flows, customer and co-worker journeys, and interactions across digital channels and integrated systems.
• Identify, document, track, retest, and close defects, distinguishing defects from requirements, data, configuration, and expected-behavior issues.
• Work as an embedded member of an Agile product team, coordinating with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and vendors.
• Support refinement, planning, demonstrations, release validation, and post-deployment testing while communicating quality risks and release readiness.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on manual software testing or QA experience preferred.
• Experience creating and executing manual test cases and test scenarios.
• Experience with functional, system, integration, end-to-end, regression, exploratory, and negative testing.
• Experience testing applications against business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience documenting, tracking, retesting, and closing software defects.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum product delivery environment.
• Hands-on experience with Zephyr Scale, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, including the ability to identify unexpected behavior and edge cases; ability to work independently, manage testing priorities, and communicate quality risks clearly.
