Regression Tester (Financial Technology)

Location: Hybrid role in Vienna, Virginia, United States.

Compensation: $55.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform complete regression and functional testing of new and existing legacy and vendor systems.
• Create, edit, and execute test cases, including preparing the required data and test conditions.
• Analyze business and system requirements, test results, reports, transaction documentation, and system outputs.
• Document defects, discrepancies, possible causes, and potential solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders, programmers, analysts, and Software Testing Analysts on resolution.
• Re-test modifications, maintain complete testing logs, and certify testing completion for production implementation.
• Develop procedures and training manuals, review user documentation, and respond to inquiries about automated system functions.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, exercise sound judgment and initiative, and achieve objectives.
• Experience testing systems across various platforms and with automated systems analysis, development, and testing procedures.
• Knowledge of HPE Unified Functional Testing, HP ALM, and JIRA.
• Experience in the financial industry and understanding of operational and regulatory risks and controls.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and conclusions clearly and concisely.
• Research, analytical, problem-solving, planning, organizational, time-management, accuracy, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Database, presentation, word-processing, and spreadsheet software skills.
• Knowledge of project lifecycles, management methodologies, and industry best practices.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience in automation testing.
