Business Intelligence Developer (AI)

Location: Fully remote.

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise dashboards, scorecards, reports, KPIs, semantic models, data marts, and reporting datasets.
• Partner with business units and leaders to translate reporting and analytics needs into scalable self-service BI solutions.
• Design, deploy, monitor, and improve workflow automations that reduce repetitive work across operations, knowledge management, customer service, and internal productivity.
• Develop secure integrations and ETL/ELT processes across applications, databases, APIs, cloud services, and reporting platforms.
• Optimize SQL queries, data models, and pipelines while supporting data quality, metadata, documentation, and consistency across systems.
• Provide technical guidance, workshops, training materials, and best practices while collaborating with infrastructure, development, security, and business teams.

Requirements

• Knowledge of business intelligence, data modeling, reporting, data integration, ETL/ELT, analytics, visualization, workflow automation, governance, information security, and privacy requirements.
• Experience developing interactive dashboards, reports, and semantic data models for business decision-making.
• Experience designing automated workflows and translating business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting queries and integrating data from multiple systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot reporting, data quality, and integration issues and develop measurable, data-driven solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, communicate recommendations clearly, and handle sensitive information securely.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–7 years of experience developing business intelligence, analytics, or data solutions.
• Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in a modern BI platform.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building data pipelines and curated, analysis-ready datasets.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud data platforms and pipeline tools.
• Experience with Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Freshservice, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Experience with Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot.
• Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft certifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively in American Sign Language (ASL).
