Senior Data Protection Specialist, Data Governance (W/M/X)

Location: Office-based in Saint-Mandé, Île-de-France, France.

What you will do

• Lead, plan, execute, and monitor data protection initiatives and related workstreams.
• Analyze business and technology needs across regulatory compliance, privacy, AI, security, and access management, then implement appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate with business, production, and technology data teams and Data Owners to apply protection measures to data assets.
• Drive adoption of data protection by default through computational data governance and cross-company change management.
• Partner with technology teams on tools, platforms, and solutions; track progress, report results, and continuously improve the framework.
• Develop data protection skills and awareness through knowledge sharing, events, coaching, mentoring, and maintaining an expertise network.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a data or data protection expert.
• Experience leading, coordinating, and delivering programs with cross-functional workstreams across multiple business and technology teams.
• Ability to collaborate with people at all hierarchical levels and with a broad range of functional and technical skills.
• Thorough knowledge of company business functions and their objectives.
• Ability to clearly articulate the value of data protection within an organization.
• Critical thinking, adaptability, ownership, self-starting ability, and a data- and results-oriented approach.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Data Protection Specialist and/or technical project manager.
• French language skills.
