Sr Product Manager, Controls Service Agreements (HVAC/BAS)

Location: Virtual, United States; listed locations include St Paul, Minnesota, La Crosse, Wisconsin, and Davidson, North Carolina. Travel independently up to 20% of the time is required.

Annual base salary: $122,700–$220,955.

What you will do

• Lead controls service agreement products, projects, and initiatives supporting growth and standardization for Trane Commercial HVAC in the Americas.
• Manage product performance tradeoffs across revenue, margin, market share, customer value, pricing, costs, and offer structure.
• Develop and execute the product plan for connected controls and BAS services, including positioning, pricing, margins, and the future business vision.
• Analyze industries, markets, competitors, customer segments, and customer requirements with market research teams.
• Initiate and support New Product Development business cases with clear revenue, margin, impact, and dependency analysis.
• Coordinate service, controls, digital, and equipment product managers while leading stakeholders and driving alignment in remote and virtual settings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience is required; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 5 years of combined experience in sales, marketing, P&L leadership, and/or product management is required.
• HVAC and BAS/controls experience, knowledge of building systems operation, and extensive field, service, and product knowledge are required.
• Understand Day 1 and Day 2 controls projects and service offerings, including the customer benefits of maintaining a long-term relationship with the original BAS installer.
• Strong written, verbal, negotiation, quantitative, analytical, time-management, initiative, and collaboration skills are required, including executive presence.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and succeed in environments resistant to change.
• Deep understanding of service business needs, cycles, and tradeoffs, with the ability to translate them into strategic product direction and business outcomes.
• Proven ability to work effectively in remote and virtual settings.
• Ability to travel independently up to 20% of the time.
