Senior Backend Engineer (.NET/C#)

Location: Remote in Latin America.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput backend services and public REST APIs for a multi-tenant ticket distribution and pricing platform.
• Own services end to end, embedding structured logging, time-series metrics, data capture, Grafana dashboards, and PagerDuty alerting.
• Lead code reviews, improve database schemas and system reliability, and promote resilient architectural patterns.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, fault-tolerant technical designs with Product and Engineering leadership.
• Identify systemic technical gaps, establish engineering standards, and mentor engineers across experience levels.
• Support production services after release, including incident response, alert-threshold tuning, and on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience building scalable, enterprise-grade systems.
• Deep proficiency in C# and .NET 8+.
• Strong relational database expertise with SQL Server, T-SQL, schema design, and query optimization.
• End-to-end ownership of production environments, including telemetry, automated testing, regression analytics, and post-release support.
• Hands-on experience with multi-tenant, event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging patterns such as pub/sub and CQRS.
• Experience deploying and operating cloud services; Azure is preferred, while AWS or GCP is accepted.
• Advanced English communication skills and experience collaborating directly with U.S. stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Service Bus, App Insights, and Log Analytics/KQL.
• Familiarity with Grafana dashboards, PagerDuty incident management, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to high-frequency data processing, real-time marketplaces, fintech, or pricing engines.
• Experience using AI tooling for infrastructure and deployment automation.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
