Senior Backend Developer (.NET)

Location: Liverpool City Centre HQ, UK; hybrid working with three days per week in the office. Applicants must have at least one year remaining on a Graduate or Post-Study Work visa.

Salary: £65,000–£75,000 depending on experience.

What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable backend services using C#, .NET 8.0, Azure, Docker, and microservices.
• Design and implement APIs, database solutions, and event-driven services.
• Write clean, testable, performant, and maintainable code.
• Deploy, run, and monitor services using Docker, Azure Cloud, Grafana, and Loki.
• Work with product owners, designers, and a cross-functional squad to deliver features.
• Mentor developers, share ideas, and contribute to architecture and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Solid experience with C#, .NET, and Dockerized microservices.
• Strong understanding of SQL Server and Entity Framework.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and modern microservice patterns.
• Experience with testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments.
• Ability to collaborate, mentor others, and work effectively in a cross-functional team.
• Pragmatic problem-solving skills and a focus on clean, maintainable code.
• Genuine willingness to learn and help others grow.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Clean Architecture or the Mediator pattern.
