Plant Controller (Automotive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Measure site and operating-area performance against plans and budgets, analyze variances and causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Manage plant accounting personnel and supervise general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, inventory and costing, fixed assets, payroll, tax, and SOX compliance.
• Partner with the Plant Manager and site leadership by providing financial analysis, data, and business guidance for sustainable performance, return on investment, and cash generation.
• Lead budgets, forecasts, consolidated actual reporting, monthly variance analysis, and site-level business-plan consolidation.
• Provide financial controls and analysis for assets, leasing, capitalization, projects, allocations, capital expenditure, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Drive inventory valuation, balance-sheet reconciliations, provisions, financial-process controls, audit support, statutory reporting, and the weekly site cash forecast.

Requirements

• Experience managing site accounting and financial-control activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead accounting personnel and collaborate with plant, business-unit, corporate finance, Treasury, internal audit, and external audit stakeholders.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory valuation, fixed assets, working capital, and cash forecasting.
• Ability to establish and maintain documented financial-process controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, local legal and taxation requirements, company policies, delegated authorities, and SOX requirements.
• Ability to support capital expenditure projects, major cost-reduction initiatives, statutory and taxation reporting, and manufacturing-site projects.
• Ability to ensure accurate business-system data, financial reporting, balance-sheet reconciliations, provisions, and inventory reporting.
